Mike came to manage Garden View in April 2012, but began his funeral service career in his native Henry County in 1998. He believes personal attention, compassion, and details are important when serving a family. He is an active member at Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield.
Mike has a son, Zachary Eugene, who is in the 1st Infantry stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and four granddaughters, Kaylynn, Addison, Paisley and Raelynn, who play a huge role in Mike’s life. Mike is the son of Brenda Fadely and the late William “Bill” Johnson and was born and raised in Henry County.
He is a 1988 graduate of Knightstown High School, and earned an associate's degree through Mid America College of Mortuary Science in 2004. He is licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan as a funeral director and embalmer. He also holds a life insurance license in Indiana.
Mike serves as a member of The Kentucky Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Director Association. Mike is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practitioners and obtained his title of CFSP in 2009. He was selected to be a member of the British Institute of Embalmers and America Society of Embalmers.
He enjoys being outdoors, playing golf and is an avid gun collector. Prior to entering the funeral service industry he held a successful career as a Wholesale Agriculture Chemical Representative serving Eastern Indiana and Western Ohio for several years.
